hi! i’m trish, and welcome to my cozy home on the internet. i am an artist, art teacher, life-long-learner, and lover of life. there is not much i don’t love. some of my many favorites include creating with my hands, the color green, birds, smiling, and outdoor adventures. some of my not so favorite things include spiders, bell peppers, and math.
i have been a certified art teacher for ten years now and have experience teaching in public, private, online, and community art schools. i have taught all ages from pre-kindergarten to adults. i am truly passionate about the field of art education and have dedicated my career to continuing to learn and grow as a contemporary art educator. i love art! i love to make it, i love to talk about it, i love to see it, but mostly i love to share my passion for art through teaching.
art mouse house is a contemporary art resource for everyone. here you will find lessons for wee little ones all the way to the advanced high school art student looking for creative inspiration for their college portfolio. this is a place for parents who are seeking art enrichment, self-advocating young artists looking to stretch their creativity and skills, and for art educators in search for relevant lessons for their classrooms.
back in the day, when i first started teaching, artists and art teachers commonly guarded their ideas, projects, and practices as coveted secrets. today’s contemporary culture thankfully encourages sharing of resources, processes, and information. i have a lot of good stuff i have learned and experienced throughout my career and i want to share it with all of you! art mouse house will continue to grow and meet the needs of all those in search for quality contemporary art education resources. i hope you have fun exploring my blog and feel free to pick my brain!
happy art making!
